Björg was the daughter of Jósef Ásbjörnsson and Ólafía Steinunn Valdimarsdóttir who came west in 1879. Stefán was the son of the physician Fritz Wilhelm Zeuthen and his wife Thora Emelie Rasmussen, both Danish. Stefán’s brother came west to Minnesota in 1886 and there Stefán right after the turn of the century. In the Minnesota Census of 1905, his is listed as living alone in his house in Minneota and working as a carpenter. When Jósef and Ólafía decided to move west from Minnesota to Montana, Stefán and Björg went with them and were listed in Fergus, Montana in 1918. In 1930, they moved west to Portland, Oregon.
