Karólína Jónsdóttir was born in S. Þingeyjarsýsla in 1845. She died in 1921 in Winnipeg.
Spouse: 1873 Gísli Jónsson b. in S. Þingeyjarsýsla in 1839. He took the last name Dalman in the west. He died in Alberta in 1892.
Children: 1. Jón 2. Páll 3. Konráð 4. Valdemar. They also lost three daughters and one son.
Gísli and Karólína came west to Canada in 1873 and moved on from there to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They lived there several years, but then moved to the Shawano Settlement about 1875. They lived there until 1880, then moved to the Garðar Settlement in N. Dakota where they took land. They moved to new land in 1888 and from there they moved to the town of Markerville, Alberta. They were there until 1892, but then prepared to move to Vernon, British Columbia. On the way there, Gísli died in Calgary, but Karólína reached the end of the journey. She was there for four years but moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1896.
