Unmarried and childless
Þóra came west from Reykjavík to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1893. She lived there for a number of years and met Stefán Árnason and his wife, Þuríður Sigurbjörnsdóttir. She moved with them to the Lundar Settlement and lived with them. The children of Stefán and Þuríður always remembered her as a kind of grandmother, always there, kind and good. She rests in the family grave in Lundar.
