Sigríður was the daughter of Hans Kristinn Sigurbjörnsson who came west with his parents and siblings in 1878. Hans was the son of Sigurbjörn Hansson in S.Þingeyjarsýsla. Sigfús and Sigríður first live in Wynyard where Sigfús worked in a grain mill. Later they moved to Mozart.
