Jakobína Sigurborg Sigfúsdóttir was born in 1864 in N. Þingeyjarsýsla. She was known as Bena/Bina or Nina Josephson in the west.
Spouse: Guðjón Jónsson b. September 30, 1853 at Torfastaðir in N. Múlasýsla, d. January 26, 1928 in Bellingham, Washington. He took the name John Johnson in the west.
Children: 1. Ásta Mae b. 1886 2. Einar b. March 20, 1889 3. Kristín (Christine) Sigríður b. April 25, 1894.
Jakobína was in Iceland in 1880 with her parents and emigrates west before 1885 because she and Guðjón were married in Minnesota in 1885. The same year, they moved to Watertown, S. Dakota where their children were born. They lived there in 1900, but in the 1905 census, Jakobína is registered as living in Minneapolis with the children. They probably left soon after the turn of the century, while Guðjón moved west to the Pacific coast because he died there.
