Þóra Þorvarðardóttir was born on March 11, 1864 in Borgarfjarðarsýsla. She died in Winnipeg on June 25, 1925.
Spouse: July 8, 1901 Jón Jónsson b. in Árnessýsla in 1857, d. in California in 1934. He took the last name Austmann in the west.

Þóra came west to Winnipeg in 1890 with the child’s father, Jón Ólafsson. She lived for some time in Winnipeg before moving to Marshland, a small town near Gladstone. Jón Austmann came west to Winnipeg in Manitoba in 1886. Jón and Þóra moved to Big Point and lived there until 1912 and then moved to Winnipeg. Jón moved to his son John’s home in California shortly after Þóra died in Winnipeg.
