Spouse: Tómas Hermann Jónsson b. in Héðinshöfða in S. Þingeyjarsýsla on February 12, 1870, d. in Winnipeg on May 20, 1927. He took the name Thomas H. Johnson in the west.

Aurora was the daughter of Friðjón Friðriksson from Melrakkaslétta and his wife Guðný Sigurðardóttir. Tómas came west to Winnipeg in 1879 with his parents, Jón Björnsson and Margrét Sigríður Bjarnadóttir, and siblings. They first lived in New Iceland, but then moved to Winnipeg in 1881. Tómas completed his schooling, got a teaching license, and became a lawyer. He participated in politics in Manitoba, was elected to Parliament in 1907 and served for 15 years.
