Guðbjörg Daníelsdóttir was born in N. Múlasýsla on May 20, 1831.
Spouse: September 9, 1853 Gísli Benjamínsson b. March 10, 1829 in N. Múlasýsla, d. January 20, 1916.
Children: Gisli was married before. These children came west: 1. Gísli b. July 20, 1851, d. March 7, 1874. 2. Guðný b. September 14, 1852. Together, this coupld had 10 children but only one lived and came west with them: Sigbjörn (registered as Benson in the west) b. January 8, 1868.
They came west in 1876 and moved to New Iceland. They took land in the Hnausa Settlement and named it Aðalból. They lived there for three years, but then moved to Winnipeg where they lived another three years. Life’s road led them to N. Dakota in 1882 and they settled in the so-called Pembina Mountains where they lived for 25 years.
