Guðríður Daníelsdóttir was born in Snæfellsnessýsla on February 9, 1857. She died on June 2, 1944 in Bellingham, Washington.
Spouse: Jónas Jóhannsson b. 1854 in Snæfellsnessýsla, d. in Bellingham, Washington on February 22, 1947. He took the name Jonas J. Laxdal in the west.

They came west in 1882 and first moved to Winnipeg, then moved south to Minnesota in 1892 and settled in Roseau County. Their farm in Dieter Township in Roseau County was doing poorly, and in 1906 they returned to Winnipeg. They were there for a number of years, then moved west to the Pacific and settled in Washington where they lived in Whatcom County.
