Bjarni came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1883 and went directly to the Hallson Settlement in N. Dakota. They moved from there in 1911 to Gull Lake, Saskatchewan. They lived there a number of years, but then sold their property and moved to Selkirk, Manitoba. They either lived there or with their daughter Sigurjóna in Regina.
