Elísabet Daníelsdóttir was born in 1860 at Skógaströnd in Snæfellsnessýsla.

Magnús and Elísabet came west on the same ship in 1883 to Winnipeg. There, they were married and lived for one year. They moved onto land in the Hallson settlement in N. Dakota and lived there a few years. From there, they moved to the Pine Valley settlement before the turn of the century, but sold the land in 1902 and moved west to the Pacific. They bought a plot of land in Blaine, Washington, built a house, and lived there until 1920. From there they moved south to Everett, Washington and lived there the rest of their lives.
