Anna Jónsdóttir was born in New Iceland on January 7, 1879. She died in Seattle on November 3, 1958.

Spouse: July 29, 1899 Þórður Eggertsson b. June 23, 1871 in Barðastrandarsýsla, d. June 27, 1928 in Portland, Oregon. He took the name Thordur or Thomas Vatnsdal in the west.

Þórður came west in 1886 with his parents Eggert Magnússon and Soffía Friðriksdóttir who settled in N. Dakota. Anna was the daughter of Jón Jónsson from Munkaþverá and Guðný Eiríksdóttir. Þórður graduated as a teacher from the State University of Grand Forks and started teaching. He later turned to business. Þórður and Anna settled in Duxby, Minnesota at the turn of the century, where they lived until 1906, then moved to Wadena, Saskatchewan, where they lived for several years. From there they moved west to the Pacific in 1917 and lived in Portland, Oregon until 1928. After Þórður’s death, Anna to Seattle moved to Seattle, Washington.
