They came west to N. Dakota in 1900 and lived there two years. They next moved to Winnipegosis, Manitoba in 1902 and from there in 1904 to the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan where they lived until 1923. They then moved to Point Roberts, Washington and made it their home for 26 years. Guðmundur lived his last years at Stafholt in Blaine.
