Ásrún Jónsdóttir was born in Bárðardalur in S. Þingeyjarsýsla on April 20, 1893. She died in 1981 in Stafholt in Blaine.
Spouse: December 15, 1910 Jón Frímann Jónsson b. in Pembina, N. Dakota on October 24, 1884, d. in Blaine, Washington on August 14, 1952. He had the last name Johnson.

Jón, the son of Jón Jónsson from Munkaþverá and Guðný Eiríksdóttir, lived in his father’s house until 1904, but he then moved to the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan as did his father. He opened a store in Wynyard and ran it for a number of years. They moved to Vancouver in 1911 and from there south to Blaine, Washington a year later. Ásrún came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba with her father, Jón Jónsson from Mýri in Bárðardalur, in 1903 and moved to the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan in 1906.
