Valdimar came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1887 and took land in the Pembina Settlement, southwest of the village of Pembina, N. Dakota. They moved north to the Vallar Settlement in Saskatchewan about 1903 and took land. They moved around 1920 and bought land north of Wynyard in the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan.
