They emigrated from Iceland to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1888 and followed relatives to the Þingvalla Settlement in Saskatchewan. Their path led them back to Winnipeg and from there to Hallson and Garðar, N. Dakota. In 1912 they moved west to the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan and bought land near Wynyard. They later sold the land and moved into Wynyard and lived there.
