Þorbjörg Bjarnadóttir was born in Húnavatnssýsla on February 16, 1873. She died at Borg retirement home in N. Dakota on March 6, 1960.

Spouse: Páll Eyjólfsson b. 1872 in N. Múlasýsla, d. in the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) on December 6, 1923. He took the name Paul Eyolfson in the west.

Childless, but they took in as foster children Louis Jacobs, and the niece and Þorbjörg’s namesake b. August 18, 1908, the daughter of Helgi Bjarnason and Helga Jóhannsdóttir.

Þorbjörg came west alone to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1892. Her two brothers, Jóhann and Helgi, were there. Þorbjörg moved with her husband and father, Bjarni Helgason, to the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan in 1905, Páll had taken land in the area in 1904. Bjarni took land there in 1907 which Páll and Þorbjörg later moved to.
