Marsilía Halldórsdóttir was born in 1870 in Barðastrandasýsla. She died on January 26, 1917.

Ingimundur came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1885 and went from there to Mountain, N. Dakota. Marsilía came west and arrived there in 1888, while her brother Jósteinn had settled there in 1885. He and Ingimundur came west the same year and on the same ship. Ingimundur moved to Winnipeg from N. Dakota in 1890 and on to the Grunnavatn Settlement in 1894. They lived there until the fall of 1907 when they moved south to the Brown Settlement. They bought land there and later bought adjacent land. Ingimundur visited Iceland in 1930.
