Kristján Sigurðsson was born in Dalasýsla on November 1, 1835. He died in Lundar on December 5, 1921.

December 22, 1958 5. Kristjana b. January 20, 1878, d. April 28, 1943. 6. Kristján b. 1878 7. Anna b. 1883. Kristján and Margrét had 12 children, the five oldest survived to adulthood.
They came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1887 and lived there the first two years. They moved from there to the Lundar Settlement and lived there the rest of their lives.
