Björn Magnússon was born in Gullbringusýsla on July 5, 1876. He died on January 24, 1954 in Keewatin, Ontario.
Spouse: December 31, 1898 Ingibjörg Þorsteinsdóttir b. January 18, 1875 in Dalasýsla.
Children: 1. M. G. Magnús 2. Ragnhildur Ingibjörg Margrét. Another two children had died by 1953.
Björn came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba with his widowed mother, Vigdís Guðmundsdóttir, and siblings in 1887. They lived in Gimli and in Winnipeg. Ingibjörg came west with her parents, Þorsteinn Jónsson and Ragnhildur Jónsdóttir, in 1876 and settled in New Iceland. They later moved to the Lundar Settlement. Björn and Ingibjörg first lived in Winnipeg, then went north into the wilderness of Manitoba, but settled in the Lundar Settlement and lived there for a few years.
