Jón and Ingveldur came west together to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1893 together with her brothers, Guðmundur and Friðjón. There they married and had three children. In 1903, they moved to the Lundar Settlement. Ingveldur married Jón Jóhannesson a number of years after Jón’s death.
