Þorsteinn Eyjólfsson was born in S. Múlasýsla in 1855. He died in Lundar in 1914.
Spouse: Kristjana Jónsdóttir b. July 18, 1856 in Dalasýsla. She took the last name Eyolfson in the west.

Þorsteinn came west in 1878 with his parents, Eyjólfur Kristjánsson and Lukka Gísladóttir. Kristjana came west to N. Dakota after 1890. There in the Akra Settlement they started farming and lived there until Þorsteinn’s death. Kristjana moved with the children to Lundar and was there until 1919. She then took the youngest children west by train to the Pacific and settled in the Osland Settlement where her eldest sons had settled.
