Solveig Kristjánsdóttir was born in 1859 in Ísafjarðarsýsla. She died on February 5, 1921 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Spouse: November 11, 1880 Sigurður Jóhannsson b. August 24, 1850 in Dalasýsla, d. in Vancouver in Canada on December 18, 1933.
Children: They had eight children, three died in Iceland and five in Canada. 1. Sigurveig b. 1880 2. Ingibjörg b. 1884 3. Jóhann b. 1886 4. Solveig b. 1889. These came west with their parents; information is missing on the 5th child who came west.
They came west from Reykjavík in 1892 and traveled to Winnipeg. They were there for some time but then settled in Keewatin, Ontario where they lived 12 years. Life’s road led them west to the Pacific, first living on the Point Roberts peninsula in Washington then in Vancouver.
