They came west to Ontario in Canada in 1874 and settled in Kinmount. They moved from there to Winnipeg, Manitoba where they lived a few years. Björn was a pioneer settler in the Akra Settlement in N. Dakota in 1882 at Sandy Hills north of the Tongue River.
