They came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1878 and settled in the Fljót Settlement in New Iceland. In 1881, they moved south to the Akra Settlement in N. Dakota where they took land. They lived there ten years and in 1891 they moved west to Alberta, Canada and settled in the Markerville Settlement.
