Kristjana Björnsdóttir was born in S. Múlasýsla on September 1, 1864. She died on July 14, 1957.

They came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1903 and from there went north to Lake Manitoba and took land on Bluff Point. They lived there for 4 years but then stopped farming. It is said that Hallur returned home to Iceland in the spring of 1908, but in the fall returned to Manitoba and settled on land in Moose Horn Bay. His son Björn later took up land there as well, but Ólafur had become worked in retail in Akureyri and was a shopkeeper in Eriksdale for a long time.
