They came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1889 and lived there two years. They moved north to the Lundar Settlement and took land there. They lived a good life there for 24 years but then they sold out and moved west to Last Mountain, Saskatchewan where their daughter lived with her family. They moved back a few years later and settled in Lundar. Their son, Jón Pétur, lived there with his family.
