Jón Tryggvi Jónsson started building houses in Winnipeg, as he came there at the turn of the century. He built countless houses during his years in Winnipeg, both large and small. One of his most notable houses was built on Furby St. and was called Diana Court. It was built in 1911 and was considered one of the finest houses in the city. Later, Jón moved to Alberta and built houses in Medicine Hat.
