Ingimundur Arason fæddist árið 1884 í Gullbringusýslu. Flutti vestur með foreldrum sínum og systkinum árið 1885 til Winnipeg í Manitoba. Hann nam ungur land í Vatnabyggð í Saskatchewan. Land hans var í Foam Lake byggð.
