Sigríður Jakobsdóttir was born in Mýrasýsla on April 8, 1871. She took the last name Jakobson in the west. Unmarried and childless. Sigríður came to the West in 1900 and settled in Winnipeg where she lived the rest of her life. She soon got a job in a sewing studio and was a seamstress at various stores.

Magnús Davíðsson fæddist í Mýrasýslu árið 1854. Ókvæntur og barnlaus. Flutti vestur til Winnipeg í Manitoba árið 1901 með Pétri Péturssyni og fjölskyldu hans. Bjó hjá þeim í Lundarbyggð alla tíð.
