Bjarni Dagsson fæddist í Snæfellsnessýslu árið 1839. Maki: Þórný Hannesdóttir f. 1852 í Hnappadalssýslu. Börn: 1. Sigurlín f. 1879 2. Kristín f. 1884. Þau fluttu vestur til Winnipeg í Manitoba árið 1888.
