Vigfús Erlendsson fæddist í Reykjavík árið 1857. Maki: Oddbjörg Sæmundsdóttir f. í Árnessýslu 27. janúar, 1854. Börn: 1. Albert Vídalín 2. Halldóra Marion. Tvö börn þeirra dóu í æsku. Fóstursonur Erlendur Valdimarsson. Þau fluttu vestur frá Reykjavík árið 1887 og fóru til Winnipeg. Þar bjggu þau í 13 ár og vann Vigfús þá hjá C.P.R. járnbrautafélaginu. Árið 1901 fluttu þau …
