Magnús Davíðsson fæddist í Mýrasýslu árið 1854. Ókvæntur og barnlaus. Flutti vestur til Winnipeg í Manitoba árið 1901 með Pétri Péturssyni og fjölskyldu hans. Bjó hjá þeim í Lundarbyggð alla tíð.
