Arthur Bjarnason was born on December 4, 1899 in Winnipeg. He died on March 19, 1972 in the Lakes settlement (Vatnabyggð).
Spouse: November 14, 1934 Kristjana Þorsteinsdóttir b. May 22, 1906 in Winnipeg. She took the name Kristjana Bjarnason with marriage.
Children: 1. Arlan Roy b. June 30, 1942.
Arthur was the son of Júlíus Bjarnason and Sigurjóna Helga Sigurðardóttir, who moved to Wynyard in the Lakes settlement (Vatnabyggð) in 1911. Arthur lived there all the time and farmed his own land near Wynyard. Kristjana was the daughter of Þorsteinn Jónsson from Lundbrekka in Bárðardal and Áslaug Jónsdóttir from Mýri. They moved from Winnipeg to the Lakes settlement in 1914 and Kristjana grew up there, attended school and became the first hairdresser in Wynyard.
