Guðrún Björnsdóttir was born in Húnavatnssýsla on June 7, 1871. She died on July 21, 1929 in Manitoba.

Children: They had no children but took in two foster children: 1. Guðrún (Runa) Anna. She was the daughter of Hólmfríður Andrésdóttir, Andrés’ sister, and Tryggvi Ingjaldsson 2. Mabel Sigríður b. in Grafton, N. Dakota on March 23, 1910
Andrés came west alone to Winnipeg in 1882. Guðrún came west in 1883 with her parents Björn Stefán Jósefsson and Margrét Stefánsdóttir. Andrés and Guðrún lived in Headingley from 1894 to 1905, that year they moved to Winnipeg. From there the road led to Arborg.
