Guðrún Torfadóttir was born in N. Múlasýsla on March 17, 1865.
Spouse: 1) Sigurður Jónsson Scheving, the divorced 2) 1894 Hreggviður Sigurðsson b. 1864 in Skagafjarðarsýsla. d. in Lundar 1934.

Guðrún came west in 1892. She moved with her son to N. Dakota and worked as a housekeeper there before she met Hreggviður. Hreggviður came to the West in 1876 with his siblings and his widowed mother, Kristín Jónatansdóttir. They were in New Iceland for the first few years, but later moved to N. Dakota. Hreggviður lived there with his wife and children until 1926, then moved to Lundar, Manitoba.
