Ingibjörg Jónsdóttir was born in Húnavatnssýsla in 1873. She died in 1943 in Vancouver. She was known as Ingibjörg Sanders or Eirikson in the west.
Spouse: Magnús Jónsson, son of Jón Eiríksson possibly moved from Beruneshreppur in 1879. That Magnús was born in 1865. Died in 1902.
Children: 1. Halldór 2. Solveig 3. Sadie 4. Karl (Charlie) 5. Laugi.
Ingibjörg came west with her parents, Jón Jónsson and Rannveig Guðmundsdóttir, in 1887, who settled in Selkirk. Ingibjörg married Magnús there and began farming. After Magnús died, Ingibjörg moved with her children to her father in the Lakes settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan. She bought land there in 1908 but did not move to it until 1912. Later she moved west to the sea to her son Laugi.
