Adopted son, Elmer Milner b. July 23, 1921, d. at Steep Rock, Manitoba May 12, 1945. His mother was Jófríður, Jórunn’s sister.
Jórunn emigrated West in 1903, about the same time her sisters,brothers and mother, Þuríður Þorsteinsdóttir did. Jórunn worked as housemaid in a few places in Manitoba until 1907. That year she had polio and had to use wheelchair for the rest of her life.She spent her last years in Betel, Gimli.
