Kenneth is son of Leo Melsted and Anna Tiechreb, farmers near Wynyard. He followed in his father´s footprints and became a farmer. His son, Bruce also took up farming. Kenneth mostly grew wheat. He was proud of his Icelandic heritage, collected books and had a few priceless titles in his collection.
