Kristín Einarsdóttir was born in Barðastrandarsýsla on April 22, 1879.
Spouse: Hallur Gíslason b. in Hallson, N. Dakota on June 28, 1878, d. Calder, Saskatchewan on August 20, 1943.
Children that reach adulthood: 1. Ragnheiður Monica 2. Herbert Gunnar b. June 27, 1909.
Kristín came to the West in 1883 with her parents, Einar Jónsson and Guðbjörg Einarsdóttir. They lived the first two years in Ontario then moved from there to Winnipeg and onward west to Saskatchewan in 1886. They returned to Manitoba and lived on Lake Manitoba. Hallur was the first Icelandic child born in N. Dakota. He grew up with his parents, Gísli Egilsson and Halldóra Jóhannsdóttir, who first lived in N. Dakota until 1889. He moved with them to Winnipeg and from there west to the Lögberg settlement in Saskatchewan in 1891. Hallur opened an iron and tool shop with his brother Páll in 1910 in Calder.
