Kristín was the daughter of Jón Bjarnason and Elinborg Bjarnadóttir who came west with their children Friðrik and Kristín. They settled in the Sand Hills settlement and lived there. Ingimundur came to the West in 1890 and settled in the Akra settlement in N. Dakota where he was a farmer.
