Kristín Lovísa Skúlason was born at Aðalból in the Geysir settlement on February 6, 1896.
Unmarried and childless.
Kristín was the daughter of Jón Skúlason and Guðrún Jónasdóttir in the Geysir settlement. She completed her secondary school education in Gimli and her teaching qualification from Winnipeg Normal School in 1920. She became a teacher and taught in her home village for 41 years. She was very involved in social affairs in her village and participated in various plays of the theatre company. She became an honorary member of the Manitoba Educational Association in 1960.
