Guðný Magnea Geirsdóttir was born at Raufarhöfn in N. Þingeyjarsýsla on September 9, 1878. She died in Vancouver on December 9, 1955.
Spouse: November 10, 1910 Þorgrímur Magnússon b. August 29, 1886, d. April 27, 1931. He took the name Thorgrimur Sigurdson in the west.

Magnea was the daughter of Geir Gunnarsson and Valgerður Jónsdóttir who came west in 1893. Þorgrímur came west at age 14 with his parents, Magnús Sigurðsson and Guðrún Jónsdóttir. They settled in the Framnes settlement and began farming on their own land. Guðrún’s health worsened, they were forced to stop farming in 1910, so Þorgrímur bought the land, livestock and all the buildings from them. The farm was called Storð and Þorgrímur lived there all the time.
