Sesselja was the daughter of Jón Skúlason and Guðrún Jónasdóttir, who came west from Vatnsnes in 1890. Tímóteus came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1905 and worked in a variety of jobs before he took land in the Geysir settlement. He named the land Hulduhvamm and lived there 33 years. He was the Postmaster at the Geysir P.O. from 1912-1945.
