Oscar Tryggvi Johnson was born in Akra, N. Dakota, November 17, 1894.

Spouse: October 5, 1931 Eliza Margarida Isfeld b. in Curytypa, Brazil, July 8, 1902.

Children: Elín Sigríður Kristina Margarida b. February 26, 1939.

Oscar became a farmer and homesteaded near Climax in Saskatchewan in 1912. He farmed there for 12 years. He joined the army and served 1918-1919. He then worked in construction, working in a factory near Winnipeg, making resin during 1925-1926. He  then worked at State Elevator Co. in Mozart, Saskatchewan 1926-1937.  In 1937 he took over his in laws farm near Wynyard and managed it until 1947. He then moved back to Mozart and took over the post office. which he maneged for 10 years. In 1957 he moved to Saskatoon where he worked for Ready Mix Concrete & Gravel Company and managed a local hotel. He moved to California with his family in 1966 and settled in Stockton where he worked in a shipyard for a year. This was his last occupation, he retired back in Saskatchewan and lived in Saskatoon.

Oscar´s parents were Guðmundur Jónsson and Sigríður Jónsdóttir in Mountain, N. Dakota. Eliza was daughter of Magnús Guðmundsson Isfeld and Elínar Isfeld who had moved to Brazil in 1973 where they lived for ten years after which they moved to Wynyard in 1904.
