Ágúst Guðmundsson was born in Iceland about 1857.
Spouse: May 6, 1888 in Minneota: Sesselja Ásbjarnardóttir b. April 1, 1854, d. in Los Angeles on February 21, 1949. She took the name Edith Kline in the west.
Children: 1. Eva (Abbie) b. 1889 2. Ágúst Björn b. September 3, 1899, d. January 15, 1891 4. Sigríður (Sarah) b. c1892.
Information is missing about Ágúst’s westward journey; he lived in Lyon county in 1888 when he got married. The couple are residents of Marshall in Lyon County in the 1895 Census. An older woman, Sigríður Goodmanson, 66 years old, possibly his mother, lives with them. The census says he has lived in Minnesota for 16 years. They still live in Marshall in 1910, but ten years later they live in Minneapolis. Sesselja emigrated west across the ocean in 1883, with the couple Páll Einar Jósefsson and Kristín Bjarnadóttir from Ytri Hlíð in N. Múlasýsla.
