Hans Theódór Ágúst Oddsson was born at Stað in Gullbringusýsla on March 17, 1889. He died in Winnipeg on November 8, 1950.
Unmarried and childless.
He was the son of Rev. Oddur V. Gíslason and Anna Vilhjálmsdóttir and came west with them to Manitoba in 1894. He lived with them in New Iceland and in Duluth, Minnesota. He joined the Canadian Army during World War I and was badly wounded in France. He was listed as disabled and came back to Canada in 1919 and lived in Winnipeg.
