Haraldur was the son of Stefán Daníelsson and Daníela Kristjana Daníelsdóttir. Alfífa was the daughter of Sigfús Tómasson who d. in Reykjavík in 1911 and Halldóra Böðvarsdóttir. Halldóra, a widow, came west across the sea with her daughter in 1913. Haraldur was an auto mechanic and opened a store and ran an auto repair shop in Lundar for 35 years.
