They came west across the ocean to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1888 and followed relatives to the Þingvalla Settlement in Saskatchewan. Their road led them back to Winnipeg and from there to Hallson and Garðar in N. Dakota. In 1912, they moved west to the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan and bought land near Wynyard. They later sold their land and moved into Wynyard and lived there.
