Anna Hannesdóttir was born on September 18, 1857 in Húnavatnssýsla. She died on May 31, 1908 in the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan.
Spouse: Jakob Líndal Hansson b. December 29, 1849 in Húnavatnssýsla, d. in Winnipeg on July 1, 1920.

Jakob came west to Winnipeg in 1887, while Anna arrived there a year later with the two oldest children. They settled in the Lakes Settlement in Saskatchewan where Jakob worked with sheep and cattle. They moved back to Manitoba in 1896 and tried grain farming in Foxwarren. In 1900, they moved north to Winnipegosis where Jakob worked in a fishery. The family moved back to the Lakes Settlement and bought land south of Leslie.
